Beasts Of No Nation Producers Taking Care Of Child Actors Post Shooting

Beasts of No Nation has gotten back to the top of local news again after one of it’s actors, Kobina Amissah-Sam, described how he won his role ahead of John Dumelo and Jim Iyke.
Sam made the revelation as part of a longer discussion on Hitz Fm, where he talked about how Abraham Attah seems to be the only who have gained all the fame from the movie, although many other good actors also appeared on it.
One of these was Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, who played the role of Strika, Agu’s mute child soldier friend. The boy never said a word the entire movie, but showed off incredible acting skills.
Quaye, who was uneducated before appearing in the movie, has currently been enrolled in school by the owners of the production house behind the movie, Red Crown Productions.
Kobina Amissah-Sam made the revelation during said interview, adding that the company is catering for two other child actors besides Attah.
“They have not been forgotten, they have really been taken care of. They are not lacking now as they used to so everything is cool for them now.” He told MzGee.
“He has never been in school before but after the production, producers of the movie felt that they have to put him in school.
“I don’t think that it is Netflix that is taking care of them, it is the producer who wants to help the kids. He is taking care of the three kids, Abraham, Strika and there is one other guy called Justice who stepped on Agu’s head when he was caught.”
