Actor William Addo, who recently was in the news after he admitted he needed money for eye surgery, and has since been inundated with offers for help- has received yet another offer for help with his problems.
A UK based Ghanaian preacher, Brian Amoateng, has presented cash to the veteran aimed at settling his hospital bills arising from the eye surgery.
Amoateng, still domiciled in the UK, made the contribution via his assistant, who noted that the actor was one of the preacher’s favourites growing up.
William Addo, veteran of both the stage and the big screen, recently revealed that he had problems with his eyes, which he needed Ghc 5,000 to fix, an amount he had been unable to raise despite several pleas for help.
After his story garnered attention, a group known as The Great Democrats presented the amount to Starr Fm, who had commenced a fundraiser for Addo. Despite that contribution, more offers for help continue to flow in for the now overwhelmed Addo.
