Wisa Case Adjourned To April 27

Wisa Greid

The case of ‘Ekiki Me’ singer Wisa Greid risks going nowhere, after the prosecution failed to line up a credible witness at the last court date, leading to the judge being forced to adjourn the case again.
The case was called on Thursday at the Accra Circuit court hearing the case, and state prosecutors told the judge that the witness they had lined up cannot testify because they weren’t actually present the venue during the incident, leading to a request for more time to find a better witness.
Trial judge Abena Oppong Adjin-Foku obliged, adjourning the case to April 27. This mishap is despite the fact that Wisa has missed a couple of court dates, and the judge even had to issue a bench warrant for his arrest. The prosecution are botching the case nevertheless.
Singer Wisa is on trial for gross indecent exposure, after he exposed his genitals on stage whilst performing during last year’s Decemba 2 Rememba concert.
