Singer Lady Gaga is putting the first piano she ever owned up for auction, as part of efforts to raise money for her foundation.
The piano was a gift from her grandparents, who paid $780 for the instrument back in 1966. Gaga started using it at the age of four, and reportedly wrote her first song ‘Dollar Bills’ on it.
The auction would be conducted on May 21, by Julien’s auction’s. The piano is set to fetch anywhere between $100-200,000.
An as yet undisclosed portion of the proceeds from the auction would be donated to her charity, the ‘Born This Way’ foundation.
