Actor and presenter Mikky Osei-Berko has described his decision to leave Radio Gold whilst at the top of his game as a stupid one that only occurred due to peer pressure.
‘Master Richard’, as he’s more commonly known, left the station for Happy Fm, a move that many questioned at the time. Speaking on Starr Fm Wednesday, he revealed the real reason why that entire episode occurred- his colleagues Fiifi Banson and Kwame Sefa Kayi were supposed to go with him!
“I was stupid to have moved to Happy Fm,” he told Bola Ray.
“I knew from start it wasn’t going to fly because Kwame and Fiifi didn’t join.”
He added that whilst it didn’t work out so well, he still succeeded in the end.
“At that point I thought it had rocked my career as a radio presenter … but it tells you, you can start on your own”
During that same conversation, he told Bola Ray that he only met his biological father four years ago in France, even though he had been searching for him far longer than that.
