The most thought-provoking discussion and the convergence of some of the most intelligent and free thinking minds of our time, the Ghana Free Thinkers Podcast returns tonight with its 4th Episode…
As usual, it will be hosted by Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri and on the panel will be Godwin Nii Armah (Journalist and Atheist) based in Ghana, Kuukua Andam (a liberal Christian, Lawyer and a Phd candidate) based in Canada, Adam B (a freethinker and atheist) based in Ghana, Kobby Newton ( a free thinker and enthusiast of religion studies) based in UK, Kwasi Sarpong (Scientist and a Christian) based in Cape Town and Fleance Kyere (a free thinker ) based in UK.
The conversation will also be joined by Tosin Peregrino from Colombia.
Tonight, the Ghana Free Thinkers Podcast will look Western Democracy in Africa as the panellists discuss the question; Is Western Democracy for Ghana?
We will also look at the recent research which suggests that people who believe in the supernatural suppress that part of their brains meant for critical thinking.
The conversation will then link the above to a popular research which looked at a century of data that stated that people with higher intelligence are less likely to believe in a God.
On the back of all these, the relationship between religion and poverty; looking at the various continents and countries will be examined.
In terms of Law, the Podcast will look at certain minorities and the ‘weak’ such as how disables and children are treated in Ghana—-particularly, the Children’s’ Act and the position of women under the laws in Ghana will be discussed.
Do miracles exist? The panel members will explore this from both philosophical and religious angles.
On Literature, we can look at April Fool (which is a sort of parody day).
And other interesting issues that fall within the scope of Religion, Politics, Law, Literature, and Philosophy.
