Singer Mariah Carey has had to cancel a planned show in the Belgian capital of Brussels due to concerns over the safety of holding a public gathering at such a time.
Carey tweeted late Friday that the show had been cancelled due to concerns over her safety, safety of her fans, crew and everyone else involved in the show.
Brussels suffered a terrorist attack earlier this week, when the Zaventem airport and the Maelbeek metro station were both hit by bomb attacks that killed 31 and injured hundreds more.
The Islamic State groud (ISIS) have claimed responsibility for the attacks, and police are working round the clock as the possibility of more attacks remains ever present.
I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone…
