Acts of terror continue to rock the world virtually daily, mostly from Islamic jihadists with a frightening intent to reshape the world into the form they want.
Their minds demolished by the virus of faith, they become the perfect patsy’s for pernicious leaders who have their own goals in mind. And the rest of the world suffers for it.
Belgium are the latest nation dealing with such an attack. A series of bomb blasts hit the airport and the country’s Metro Tuesday, leading to at least a dozen dead and many more injured in the capital, Brussels.
Two bomb blasts hit the depature section of the Zaventem airport early Tuesday (around 0700 GMT). Whilst still being dealt with, the Maelbeek metro station was hit by another blast. Both facilities have been closed.
“Belgian broadcaster VRT said that in addition to 13 deaths at the airport, at least 35 people were severely injured.” The BBC reported.
“The Belga news agency reports that shots were fired and shouts in Arabic were heard before the two explosions at the airport. Some reports say it was a suicide attack.”
The Belgian national team had to cancel a planned training session, as security is heightened in the tiny European nation. Neighbours France were hit by a far deadly attack late last year, and the main perpetrator was arrested in Brussels earlier this week.
