Second Episode Of Ghana Freethinkers Podcast To Be Broadcast Tonight

Free Thinker

The second episode of the Ghana Freethinkers podcast comes on later tonight, to start live-streaming at 20:00 GMT.
The second episode comes on the heels of the trend-setting first episode, held on the night of March 14 2016. On that night, editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, hosted three other freethinkers in a thought provoking two hours of discussion.
The show returns tonight with a somewhat similar cast. Joining would be yours truly, Godwin Nii-Armah Okine, journalist and atheist from Ghana, Kuukie Andam, a lawyer and PhD candidate currently based in Canada, Tosin Peregrino, a Nigerian free thinker and masters’ degree holder currently in Colombia, Adam Brimzzy, an atheist in Ghana, Kwasi Sarpong, a religious apologist based in the United States and a masters degree holder in Actuarial Science, and F. Kyere ,who is a mix of theist and deist, based in the United Kingdom.
We will delve into the big questions from the secular and free thinking angle, a different perspective from what you’ll normally find in Ghana.
The conversation would cover the Ghanaian political landscape, where scandals are a dime a dozen and accountability is virtually nil.
It would also cover the huge controversy brewing in Ghana now over the role of satire and parody in media discourse, with ScrewLife.com and other similar sites coming under strong attacks in recent times.
We will also look at the question; is there a God—and what’s the evidence for the preposition that there’s a God.
Any other issue that might come up during our free flowing discussion would be tackled, and with us you know religion is never off the table.
We are looking at Philosophy, Politics, Law, Religion, Science and the interesting disciplines.
It’s the biggest battle of ideas; Denying Ignorance Through Discussions.
If you have what it takes to join the panel, contact Chris-Vincent Febiri and you could become a panellist, discussing and sharing your ideas.
You can click here to listen to the conversation; broadcast starts at 20:00 GMT.
You can listen to us LIVE and Contribute to the discussion here.
We will also stream the conversation via Ghana Wish Radio, which you can listen to here.
