Barack Obama is trailing his wife Michelle in the rap department, after her educational rap video for kid got the internet talking and gave her some ‘street cred’.
So the President of the United States, perhaps in a lame attempt to catch up, held his own freestyle rap in front of the White House. Except, all he did was hold up cards for someone else to do all the rapping.
The cast of the award winning musical ‘Hamilton’, with creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, visited the White House Monday. Obama, along with Miranda, then recorded the freestyle session in the Rose Garden.
The President held up flash cards, which Miranda then incorporates into his freestyle.
At the end, Obama made a phantom mic-drop, and then asked if the video might go viral.
Over to you, internet.
