President Mahama has joined a tall list of Ghanaians paying tribute to comedian-Bishop Bob Okala who passed away today, aged 59.
Bob Okala died early Sunday, after he collapsed on stage whilst performing at an event in Koforidua. He was rushed to hospital but ultimately did not survive.
Okala, who had scaled back on public appearances due to health issues, nonetheless agreed to perform at a programme organised by Joy Industries at Koforidua Jackson Park on Saturday.
It was during that performance that he collapsed and died.
President John Dramani Mahama in his tribute wrote on Facbeook;
“I have been informed of the death of Comedian, Bob Okalla. He brought joy to many homes, and of course to Lordina & I. #RIPBobOkalla”
