Female JHS Student Dies After Jumping Out Of Moving Bus In An Attempt To Escape Imminent Accident


A female JHS student of the Presbyterian Junior High School in Koforidua unfortunately died when an attempt to escape what she thought was an impending accident went awry.
The accident occurred Monday at Abono, during a trip by the students to Lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region.
The students were travelling in a Metro Mass bus when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle after its brakes failed, Citifmonline reports. Some of the students, fearful for their lives, decided to jump out of the moving bus. Unfortunately, one of them got run over by an incoming car.

An eyewitness, Azeez Ummar, told Citi News the accident happened when they were descending an undulating road.
He said some of the students upon seeing the danger ahead tried to escape by jumping out of the vehicle.
“Unfortunately one of the ladies found herself under the vehicle and the vehicle passed on her head. She died afterwards,” he added.
