Lawyer Philip Addison picked up a hard fought victory over Nii Noi Nortey in the rerun elections to be declared the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Klottey Korle in this November’s general elections.
Addison garnered 396 votes to beat Nii Noi’s total of 367- snatching victory from the latter, who had won the first primary held last August.
However, the results of that vote were cancelled, after Addison and another contestant, Nii Adjei Tawiah, took the issue to court.
It seems the legal gymnastics have paid off for the widely popular Addison, who shot to national prominence representing the NPP in the 2012 election petition before the Supreme Court.
Addison would face off against Zanetor Rawlings in the general election, for the mandate to represent the constituency that straddles Osu in the next legislature.
