HBO are revving up the anticipation as the premiere date for Game Of Thrones Season 6 approaches, with little teasers designed to get fans talking.
After the release of numerous pictures concerning the season, HBO has come out with a teaser trailer featuring a very grim outlook for the coming season. Set in the House of Black and White, where Arya is currently undergoing the Faceless Men assassin training- it shows the House’s famed wall of faces, and some of the faces on there are bound to get fans apoplectic.
The face of Lord Eddard Stark, the Stark family patriarch who was cruelly murdered in season one, adorns the Hall of Faces. As does the faces of his murdered kin, wife Catelyn and son Robb, the King In The North. Other dead characters on the walls include Joffrey Baratheon, Stannis Baratheon and Tywin Lannister.
But then, the hall also shows the faces of a lot of still alive characters, the sequence meant to let fans ask themselves ‘wtf?’ What are the faces of some of our most beloved characters doing in the hall where the most powerful assasin’s guild in the world hang faces they use for their missions?
Some of these still alive characters hanging in the hall include Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Cersei and Jaime Lannister.
And then, in the midst of it all, Jon Snow.
The Hall of Faces, by the way, is where the Faceless Men hang faces, harvested from all over the world, which they can then slip into to go on mission incognito. The motto of the Faceless Men is ‘Valar Morghulis’, Valyrian for ‘All men must die’.
You can see why fans would be concerned to see the faces of Tyrion, Arya, and Dany in that room.
