Daniel Craig mentioned last year that he wouldn’t be returning to the British Spy role as James Bond because he’s over it—and his contract has ended with no possible talks of extension.
At the time, Daniel said he’d rather ‘slash his wrists’ than play James Bond again.
He added that if he were to do another Bond movie, ‘it would only be for the money.’
This seems to be the actual case as it is being reported that Craig has signed up for a new American TV series and as such he will be too busy to reprise the Bond role.
According to The Sun, the 47-year-old will star in Purity, which will run for several series of 20 episodes apiece after playing the secret agent for a decade.
Who the next Bond is going to be has always been a subject of online debate—with the name Idris Elba being a front runner in the conversation.
