This kid has broken barrier after barrier, and whilst the Academy snubbed him in the acting categories, he’s one of several stars chosen to present awards on the night.
A post on twitter by the Academy revealed the stars chosen to present at the awards, and the young Ghanaian made the list.
Abraham Attah hit the limelight after starring in the Cary Fukunaga movie ‘Beasts of No Nation’ alongside Idris Elba. His story was all the more remarkable because that was his first time acting and he just blew it away.
Alongside Attah, the Academy also announced other presenters including ‘Creed’ star Michael B. Jordan, Common, Russell Crowe, Sarah Silverman and Sofia Vergara. Previously announced presenters included Quincy Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Carell, Jared Leto, Julianne Moore, Olivia Munn, Margot Robbie, Jason Segel and Andy Serkis.
The 88th Academy Awards is slated for the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, on February 28. Chris Rock would host the event, which has come under fire for a lack of diversity in its final list of nominees.
