There was a time when Anthony Annan was an integral member of the Black Stars, that was back when he was young and spry.
Now 30, he continues his nomadic career, signing for Finnish club HJK Helsinki.
Annan played for six months in Helsinki back in 2014, and now returns, signing a three year deal with the club that also features the Ghanaian Gideon Baah.
Speaking to the club’s official channel, he intimated his delight at returning to the club.
“I feel very great because I was here (HJK) in 2014 and it went well for me and my colleagues as well so I’m very happy to be back to join this family again so everything is fine with me,” he said.
Annan is a combative midfielder who’s very good at shielding defences, despite his small stature. A former Accra Hearts of Oak player, he has won 67 caps for Ghana, scoring two goals.
