President Mahama’s son, Sharaf Mahama, who is an aspiring footballer, has reportedly signed a contract with a Belgian top flight side.
Local reports claim the son of Ghana’s leader has penned a deal with KV Mechelen in the Belgian league, after training with the side for the past few months.
The report says he joins the side with another Ghanaian, Hope Doagbodzi.
Ghanaians got introduced to Sharaf recently when he played in Stephen Appiah’s testimonial game.
He has been studying in the Emirates for the past few years, and has been spotted in public with several other Black Stars players, most notably Asamoah Gyan.
Several other Belgian newspapers and websites have also reported the news. It remains to be seen whether he’ll join their team directly or be loaned out to gain experience.
