He’s not called the rap doctor for nothing; Okyeame Kwame is a veteran who knows the ins and outs of the rap business.
And according to this behemoth, Sarkodie is the best Ghanaian rapper when it comes to the matter of rhythm. He compares Sark’s flow to the well established twisting of Eminem and Busta Rhymes.
He made this known during an interview, when asked to rate fellow rappers Sarkodie and Flowking Stone in comparison to himself.
“I cannot rate because all the three of us are strong at certain areas. For example, Sarkodie is very strong with rhythm.” he said.
“The rhythm in his rap is like Busta Rhymes or Eminem. I have never heard a Ghanaian have the kind of rhythm Sark has,”
However, someone else takes the crown when it comes to punchlines.
“Come to FlowKing, I have never heard a Ghanaian rapper have so much punchlines in one song like FlowKing has- maybe Tee Phlow.” he continued.
I know a certain Punch Line King (PLK) who’ll disagree with that.
However, when it comes to the real heart of rap, getting a message across, none of them (of course) compares to him.
“But when it comes to themes, concepts, none of these small boys can match me.”
We agree on that last one, at least.
