Anybody remember when Blakk Rasta appeared before parliament, shaking in his boots like a mouse before a cat? Now he’s not before them anymore so he can run his trap.
In a recent interview the formerly outspoken Reggae artist spoke on how being hauled before parliament has positively affected him. According to him, people actually call him honourable now because they saw him on Tv in parliament.
“Parliament went too far, they made me extremely famous. So many thought I was also [a] Member of Parliament, so they now call me Honourable, but they didn’t know I went to Parliament to answer questions,” he said.
Who are these dumb people?
Earlier on in the interview, he had moaned that the treatment he received was selective, because many others have made derogatory comments against parliament and nobody was hauled there to give any explanation. He added his belief that parliament was abusing their power.
“After me a lot of people have said worse thing about the parliament [but] have they dared to bring anyone of them before the parliament? So you should know that it was the doing of God.”
He said that abuse of power was visible in how they handled the case of Professor Duodu, who claimed the response of parliament to Ebola trials showcased their ignorance.
“Instead of sitting the Professor down so he can elaborate to the house on why he said Parliamentarians are ignorant of the Ebola disease, you (Parliamentarians) rather dragged him to come and apologise to you.”
Blakk Rasta got into trouble last year when he alleged on his show whilst calling for a legalisation of marijuana that 80% of parliamentarians smoke the substance.
“There are about 80% of parliamentarians who smoke weed so why do people think those who smoke marijuana go mad.
“We can get a lot more products from marijuana than cocoa, marijuana doesn’t kill, we can use it for commercial purposes which Ghana can make a lot of money from.
“There are a lot of people in parliament who smoke but will want to remain unknown, people who smoke marijuana are presidents, so if your president is smoking marijuana how can you say someone will get mad” he said on Taxi Driver on Hitz Fm.
His bold comments led to him being hauled before Parliament, where the previously outspoken critic all of a sudden turned into a little b*tch who could not stand behind his words.
