Published by

Madonna paid homage to her idol David Bowie by performing a beautiful cover of the late singer’s 1974 hit ‘Rebel Rebel’ at her Rebel Heart Tour Tuesday in  Houston, Texas.
David Bowie died Monday, after 18 months battle with cancer. The death of the late androgynous rock star has triggered significant tributes worldwide–  praising him for his immense contribution to music and fashion.
Madonna, who was hugely influenced by Bowie, was full of praise for him before her tribute on Tuesday.
She said:

I want to pay tribute to a man who inspired my career. If you haven’t heard of David Bowie, look him up motherf—ers. He was one of the geniuses in the music industry, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century and he changed my life when I went to see him in concert in Detroit. He showed me that it was ok to be different. And he’s the first ‘rebel heart’ that I laid eyes on”
