The latest Fifa rankings has been released by the world governing body, and the Black Stars have retained their position on the ladder from December’s ranking.
Ghana begins 2016 ranked as the 33rd best nation in the world, thereby also maintaining their ranking as the third best team on the continent.
African Champions Cote d’Ivoire remains Africa’s best, ranked 19th in the world. Algeria follows at 28th, before the Black Stars, Cape Verde (39th) and Tunisia (40th) round up the continent’s top five.
Worldwide, Belgium maintains their number one position. The star studded form team are followed by Argentina, Spain, World Champions Germany and South American champions Chile.
