American actress, Kristen Jaymes Stewart has been awarded as the best supporting actress for her role played in “Clouds Of Sils Maria”.
The 26-year-old actress stood tall among her compatriots in the National Society of Film Critics Award held on Sunday.
She won the prize by beating Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) and Kate Winslet (Steve Jobs).
She is known for playing the protagonist Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga film series from 2008–12, which has grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide.
Kristen is the “face” of Chanel and Balenciaga fashion brands.
Alicia Vikander stole the runners-up position—while Mark Rylance won best supporting for his performance in Bridges Of Spies.
Best actor went to Michael B. Jordan for his work in Creed, while Charlotte Rampling scored best actress for 45 Years.
Best picture and best screenplay went to Spotlight.
Carol clinched awards for best director for Todd Haynes and best cinematography for Ed Lachman.
