The 6th edition of the Ghana Movie Awards ended with Beasts of No Nation winning most of the categories at the ceremony which took place at the Accra International Conference Center on Wednesday.
Ghanaian actor and director, Eddie Nartey expressed his displeasure about how the International rated movie, Beasts of No Nation swept most of the awards—just after the ceremony climaxed.
According to him, so many things didn’t sit well in the organization of the award.
Eddie Nartey in an Instagram post a while ago tagged the event as the “The Beast Of No Nation Movie Awards”.
He however encouraged Ghanaian film makers to put up their best in their productions—as he hopes that things may change in the future for them to have a proper awarding scheme that will put smiles on their faces.
“Finally The Beast Of No Nation Movie Awards has end. Amazing how Cary Fukunaga and Idris had already recorded their speeches. SMH
“To all the soldiers who worked so hard this year into bringing good movies to entertain our audience, I Say keep the fire burning. The proper reward and award will not come from family and friends award but a jury that understand the language of filmmaking,” Eddie Nartey wrote.
“I know this F**kery will change soon. YES I Know! Good Night,” he added while hashtaging his post with #LifeOfAnActor.
