The Catholic Church doesn’t have a sense of humour, we thought everyone knew that? And they’re very notorious for not progressing with the times.

A Filipino priest has discovered that truth in a very hurtful manner, after he was suspended for deciding to ride a hoverboard during church service on Christmas eve.

The church criticised his decision, saying the Eucharist was “the Church’s highest form of worship” and “demands utmost respect and reverence”

The Diocese of San Pablo added in a statement:

“The priest said that it was a wake up call for him; he acknowledged that his action was not right and promised that it will not happen again.”

“He will be out of the parish and will spend some time to reflect on this past event. He would like to apologize for what happened,”

Woow, talk about an overreaction.
