Ghanaian car manufacturing company, Kantanka Automobile is gradually becoming a household name as being the first company to manufacture cars in the country.
The company is now receiving international recognition—with CNN reporting that; the Kantanka cars “are built to survive anything”.
The CEO of Kantanka Group, Kwadwo Sarfo Jr, admitted that the journey hasn’t been easy but they are optimistic that they will take over the world market someday.
“The biggest challenge is people believing (and) having faith in the car,” Kwadwo Safo Jr, got candid. “People think the doors will come off or the tires will blow off or something.”
He assured that the Kantanka cars were built to save users from any inconveniences whilst plying the bad roads in Ghana.
“They rough handle cars a lot,” he said about the company gifting out some of their vehicles to the Ghana Police Service. “They took the car, and made it appeal to the masses.”
“These cars are made for Ghana. We know how the roads are, and we built them to stand the roads.”
“We’ve gotten this far because we believe in the possibilities,” he added.. “One day we will be all over the world.”
The company has brands like; The Kantanka Onantefuo (SUV), Kantanka Omama (Pickup) and Kantanka K71 (Mini SUV) vehicles—which are produced locally by Apostle Kwadwo Safo founder of the Kristo Asafo church.
With $20,000, you can grab some of the vehicles and have the Kanatanka experience.
