President John Dramani Mahama and his beautiful wife-Lordina Mahama celebrated this year’s Christmas at the president’s place of origin-Bole; it was more like a homecoming for the president.

While at Bole, the president kept the Christmas celebration simple but included as many of the people of the community as possible—for him, it was not just friends and family affairs but a community affair.

Children gathered around the first family, played and gifts were handed out to these kids, who perhaps would not have received any Christmas presents should the president and wife have not done this.

We should learn one or two things from this; the president left his posh residence in Accra and went back to his home town to share such a special day with his people—making it even more special for those who would have had nothing extraordinary going on for them.
