Kevin Roper, the Walmat tractor-trailer driver involved in the tragic Tracy Morgan accident which caused the life of his friend, James McNair on June 2014, has been charged with manslaughter.

A grand jury indicted him on ten (10) charges, made up of aggravated manslaughter—8 counts of aggravated assault and vehicular homicide.

Report says he will have the opportunity to defend himself on the charges levelled against him in the next trial.

The limo which he crashed into was carrying Morgan, McNair, Morgan’s personal assistant, Jeffrey Millea, and comedian Ardie Fuqua. But unfortunately McNair didn’t survive the accident.

Tracy Morgan disclosed in May 2015 that, he settled the case with Walmat. However, the compensated amount was not disclosed.

“Walmart took full responsibility for the accident, which we greatly appreciate,” a lawyer for the 30 Rock actor said in a statement posted on the retailer’s website. “Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably,” Morgan added to the statement.

“Me and [Maven] started walking at the same time,” Tracy Morgan told ET about his recovery. “When my daughter started walking, she took me and Moms [Morgan’s wife, Megan Wollover] right there, first step. I was in the wheelchair and I said, ‘I’m walking, too,’ and a week later I was standing.”
