As the end of the year approaches, several end of year list are released, looking at the year in review. For the ordinary man, it’s a great way to reminisce over what the year was about.
Google is the world’s biggest and most used search engine, and its use has become almost a natural part of life. In fact the term Google has become a verb to describe the action of searching, and there can be no greater compliment to be paid to the tech firm.
Every year, the company in turn tells us the most searched term of the year, as people try to find as much info as they can surrounding a trending issue.
Google’s top trending terms tracks the most popular search term of the year. What people were most interested in finding out about for much of the year, and it turned out Lamar Odom ended up on top.
Odom went into a coma when he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, having overdosed on herbal Viagra. He is still recovering.
Odom also topped the most searched person term, ahead of people like Donald Trump (7), Adele (4), and Ronda Rousey (2)
