“Nana Akufo-Addo is the Only Politician Who Has The Ability To Steer The Nation’s Development” –Kwabena Kwabena Asserts

The electioneering season is here again—and some Ghanaian musicians are ‘tidal bore’ to sacrifice their talents to politicians.

They have the hope of reaping what they sowed if they ascend into the high office of the land—but the career of some of these musicians go down the gutter—if they openly throw their support to politicians or political parties in the country.

One perfect example may be Lucky Mensah, who campaigned for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), during the 2008 electioneering campaign. Lucky is MIA—even after the party won the election. Or maybe the reward for his effort was a bunch of bucks so he is ‘ok’ if he takes a musical hiatus.

As 2016 draws nearer, Ghanaian highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena has once again thrown his support at the back of the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, he is the best candidate to rescue Ghana from the clutches of an incompetent, greedy, and corrupt government that has brought untold hardships to the citizenry.

“I will still support Nana Addo since I feel he is the only politician that has the ability to steer the nation’s development in a direction I identify with and I can use my voice to propel that cause.”

“I had a personal encounter with Dr. Abu Sakari and Dr. Bawumia and I was impressed at their capabilities and high level of intelligence displayed. Sometimes we have to hail people who are frontiers in Ghanaian Politics,” he told Afia Schwarzeneggar on Aben Wo Ha on Kasapa 102.3 FM on Thursday.
