For some reason, there seems to be trouble in Friend’s paradise.

Just last week, co-creator Marta Kauffman finalised her divorce from her husband of 31 years. This week, it turns out Cox is splitting from her fiancé, Johnny McDaid.

The pair have been dating since the early parts of 2014, and got engaged in June that year. They have since been looking forward to their wedding, but irreconcilable differences just wrecked everything.

So the pair have decided to call off the wedding, according to TMZ. The site notes that they fought for as long as they could to make things work, including trying counselling- but it just wasn’t to be, it seems.

McDaid, 39, is a guitarist for the band Snow Patrol; and is said to have packed his stuff out of her home in Malibu and flown back to his native England.

Cox, 51, played Monica Geller for 10 years on the fan favourite sitcom Friends. She was previously married to actor David Arquette.
