To end the speculation, actor Charlie Sheen, 50, has confirmed on US Today that he’s HIV positive—and that he got to know of his status about 4 years ago.
Speaking to Matt Lauer, he said “It’s a hard three letters to absorb. It’s a turning point in one’s life.”
He added, “I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me, that threaten the health of so many others that couldn’t be further from the truth.”
As to how the diagnose came about, Sheen said “it started with what I thought was a series of crushing headaches.” He added, “I thought I had a brain tumor. I thought it was over.”
Interestingly, he said he has paid out millions to certain people since he got to about his HIV status—for them to keep his status a secret.
Sheen said he had trusted the diagnosis with people he thought he could confide in, but that wasn’t the case so he ended up paying “upwards of $10 million” to keep the illness a secret.
The actor in the interview added: “What people forget is that it’s money taken from my children…I trusted them and they were deep in my inner circle, and I thought they could be helpful. My trust turned to their treason.”
Talking about whether he has transmitted the disease to anyone knowingly, Charlie said, it is”impossible” that he knowingly transmitted the virus to others.
He also admitted to having unprotected sex with two people since the diagnosis but said both were under the care of his doctor and were informed ahead of time.
According to the actor’s physician-Dr. Robert Huizenga, an associate professor of clinical medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, HIV is the virus that leads to AIDS, which has no cure. But “Charlie does not have AIDS.”

“So far, no one including many of Charlie Sheen’s p**n stars have come out with a claim—but it surely looks like, we will be hearing of people making all kinds of claims in attempt to dip their hands in Sheen’s cash bank.
Charlie Sheen is about to make the gold-digging sluts rich.
Some say this was inevitable, considering his lifestyle; how freely he took unnecessary risks.”
