‘New Praye’ Will Be Incomplete Without Choirmaster—Says Big J Cartel

As Ghanaians are waiting anxiously to get the drift of what the New Praye Group can offer, Big J Cartel has spoken out- saying the group may not attain its former heights without Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster.

According to Big J, it will only take a miracle for Choirmaster to join them now—but they are still holding onto their faith and hope for him to join them someday.

“For now, the two of us are holding the fort as Praye but we believe the group can be more solid if all three of us come together.

“We will do our best to keep the Praye name alive, but people have come to love us as a group and we wish Choirmaster was on board,” Praye Tietia, now known as Big J Cartel, told Showbiz in an interview last Friday.

“No matter how long it takes, we will still wait for Choirmaster to finish his term with his new label so that he comes back to the group,” he said.

Big J Cartel told the news paper that their decision to reform the group was influenced by the numerous appeals made by their fans calling for the return of Praye.

Choirmaster on the other hand revealed in interview over the weekend that he was not informed earlier about the reformation—and his contract with Blue Rose Entertainment prevents him from joining the group.

“It is not that I don’t want to join them but the reason is…after the split things were a bit difficult, shows were not coming due to the non-existence of the group. And along the way, I started working on a project and I was signed by Blue Rose Entertainment. I have only served 1 year out of the 5 years agreement. At the end of the day, it is all about hard work.

“I didn’t know anything about it…the focus was on my album that I’m working on with my new management. I was surprised to hear about their reunion because if they had that intention, they should have got in touch for us to know what to do, even though I’m under contract,” he cited.
