The President, John Dramani Mahama; has appointed Commissioner of Poice (COP) John Kudalor to the position of Inspector General of Police.
Kudalor ascends to the highest office in the police hierarchy as his predecessor, Mohammed Alhassan, begins his accumulated leave as he approaches retirement.
Mohammed Alhassan, who has held the position for the past two years, took over from Paul Quaye in 2013.
Prior to his appointment to IGP, Kudalor worked as the Director General of Police Operations.
In a similar move, the President has appointed Mr. Felix Sarpong, Deputy Director Operations of the Ghana Immigration Service- as the acting Director of Immigration.
