Black Princesses

After a 2-2 first leg draw in Addis Ababa, the female U-20 side needed a win to qualify, and they took care to make it an emphatic one.

The Black Princesses beat the Ethiopian side by four clear goals, winning the game 6-2 on aggregate and booking a place at the 2016 Fifa U-20 Women’s world cup in Papua New Guinea.

Forwards Priscilla Adobea and Sarah Owusu Ansah both struck twice to hand the Princesses the emphatic victory, with Ethiopia having no answer to their menacing form.

Nigeria beat South Africa in another qualifier to join Ghana as Africa’s two representatives at next year’s world cup.
