The cry of veteran Ghanaian actor and former president of the Ghana Actors Guild, Nii-Odoi Mensah, who was diagnosed with kidney disease some years ago, has been heard.
The ailing actor, who appeared on The Pundit Show on GHOne TV, was stunned as the CEO of Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network, Bola Ray; vowed to support him with an estimated amount of $5,000 to cater for his treatment.
Mr. Odoi has been crying out for support to undergo further treatment outside the country and according to him, he owes the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital over GHC 17,000.
“At the moment, I’m looking for a very big support to travel out of the country for some treatment. I’m supposed to go to China to a kidney hospital,” for treatment there.
“It’s all money issue and if people will support I will be grateful,” he said in a recent interview.
Mr Odoi Mensah received the good news whilst on the programme.
“I came to this programme to talk about the demise of my brother and it has being a blessing.
“Where there is hope there is God I thanked the CEO of EIB network for the support and may God richly bless the EIB network,” Mr. Odoi Mensah told George Quaye on GhOne TV after he received the good news.
Speaking on the sudden demise of his colleague Eddie Coffie, he said; “Eddie was very calm and I was the only person who provoke him but I know him to be calm and quiet person.”
