Adele is showing just how worthwhile taking the time off after a successful album before relaunching is; as ‘Hello’ continues to set and break records.

The song, the lead single from her upcoming album ‘25’; debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. That in and of itself is not too special- but something else the song achieved is.

According to Billboard, the song achieved 1.1m downloads in its first week. That is the first time EVER that ANY song has achieved that mark.

‘Hello’ has already shattered the most viewed video within a single day record on Vevo. It seems ‘25’ is going to be another chart topper and award winning creation from Adele.

The album drops November 23.
