Nollywood actress Funmi Babalola says broken marriages is something which is not limited to the Nigerian movie industry- as it can be found virtually anywhere else in the world.
Funmi, who began her career as a model and fashion designer, in a chat with The Sun posited that the issue of relationships that hits the rocks is everywhere—and the most important aspect is that both parties remain happy at the end of the day.
“Broken marriages are everywhere; it is not only in the movie industry, so the most important thing is that one is happy.
She revealed that her parents were not in support of her decision to venture into acting; but they later reversed their stances to support her both physically and spiritually.
“I have passion for acting. It has always been my heart’s desire. Right from my childhood days, I have always been attracted to the silver screen.
“[But] initially they were not pleased.
“When they saw that everything was turning around for my good, they supported me. And I can say their prayers have kept me going,” she explained.
When asked about the secret behind her beauty, she said; “It’s God’s doing and as the Lord lives, my beauty will continue to shine.”
Funmi disclosed that her dream man should be someone who has vision, intelligence and generosity; although she was quick to add that she is not available as she is already dating.
Funmi Babalola came into the movie industry in August 2013—and she is mostly remembered for her role in the movie Ebu Ika.
