Gyan lands at 6th in the world, falling only behind internationak behemoths like Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, and Wayne Rooney. He beat Ivorian Yaya Toure to the highest paid on the continent.

The other Ghanaian on the list is Michael Essien, who landed at #176 on the 200 player long list; earning $93,000 a week with Greek side Panathinaikos.
