Obinim and his supporters had a field day at the Accra High Court on Thursday when the Bishop’s long running court case was finally decided.
Founder and leader of the Godsway International Ministry, Bishop Daniel Obinim, was acquitted and discharged by an Accra High Court in an assault case against a radio panellist at Hot FM.
The Bishop was standing trial for allegedly breaking into the station with two associate pastors, and vandalising the place and assaulting the panellists. Obinim argued that he had gone to the station to clarify issues, but was rather assaulted and kicked out.
The incident occurred during a discussion of alleged marital infidelity on the part of Obinim.
The trial judge said the prosecution had failed to sufficiently make their case, and could have utilised more witnesses to paint a clearer picture of what happened that day.
His two associate pastors who were standing trial alongside him were also freed.
These state prosecutors; do they ever get any convictions?
