Award-winning Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth- is set to celebrate five years of a peaceful and successful marriage with his wife Elsie Okpocha.

Basketmouth tied the knot with Elsie on November 6 2010, after they first met in 2003 at the University of Lagos in Nigeria.

The comedian took to his Instagram page to wish his beloved wife a happy wedding anniversary—and thanked her for the love she has showed him.

He wrote to her: “Thank you for letting me come into your life, for giving me a beautiful family, for blessing me with your love, affection and care. Happy wedding anniversary in advance. I love you.”

Basketmouth disclosed in a recent interview that he is very lucky to get married to Elsie, because she understands him 100 percent.

“Being a married man has been great. I married a friend. The girl that I love and she understands me 100 percent. We have been together for a very long time; about 10 years. So, she understands me. She knew me when I was coming up; and she knows me now; she understands everything about me. That alone helps my marriage to become stronger and stronger. I travel alot, and I am always happy I have a wife who understands that. It’s been good and great,” he said.
