The founder of the Perez Chapel International Bishop Charles Agyina Asare, has indicated that for a long time before he found Christ, he was a Buddhist.
According to the renowned preacher, he picked up the habit during his secondary school days, along with several bad habits he was indulging in long before Christ came for him.
He was speaking on Starr Chat on Starr Fm.
“At a point in secondary school, I left my initial training. I picked up Buddhism and I was deep into it for many years. I practiced Buddhism for four years and I was very devoted,” he said.
He also noted that as a young boy, he engaged in several vices, including smoking both cigarettes and marijuana.
“I started smoking cigarette at the age of 11 but by the time I was 12, I realized it wasn’t serving my purpose so I went in for Marijuana.
“I was a chain smoker. Cigarette could not get me to do what I wanted to do,”
However, all this came to a halt when he followed a girl to church one day with the intention of wooing her. That was when Christ gave him the Paulean arrest.
“I had followed her to the church with the hope of taking her out after the service. I had smoked heavily and was just waiting for them to close but it was there that I first heard about God and repentance and since then, I have not looked back and my life has never been the same”.
Agyin Asare has since moved on to become one of Ghana’s most renowned preachers and miracle workers, with a huge church (Perez) and several books to his credit.
Then dem girl saved you, gud…
