Daniel Craig and David Oyelowo are set to star in an upcoming off Broadway production of Shakespeare’s Othello.
Both actors are better known for their work in movies, but would turn their considerable talents to the stage when the production is put on in Autumn 2016.
The play, to be staged by the New York Theater Workshop (NYTW), would star the Selma alum as title character Othello. Craig, set to star in the next James Bond instalment ‘Spectre’; would play Othello’s infamous tormentor Iago.
The play would be directed by Sam Gold, who won a Tony this year for Fun Home.
