The West African correspondent for Forbes Magazine Africa, Peace Hyde, would be one of five who would choose the magazine’s prestigious Africa Person of the Year Award for 2015.
The annual award, which has been in inception since 2011, would be held in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi in November.
The Ghanaian would be working in tandem with four others, comprising Chris Bishop, Managing Editor of Forbes Africa, Methil Renuka, Editor of Forbes Woman, South African-based political commentator, Aubrey Matshiqi and Joseph Bonyo, Editorial Manager- East Africa for ABN.
Forbes Africa Person of the Year celebrates “the individual who, for better or worse, has had the most influence on events of the past year.” Nigerian Entrepreneur and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, won the award for 2014.
This year’s award would be duked out between five people, including Nigeria’s newly elected President Muhammadu Buhari and famed author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

NKOSAZANA DLAMINI-ZUMA– African Union Chairperson, working towards a united and strong Africa. She has pushed the cause of women and that of land rights in 2015.
