The Local Black Stars team is gearing up for an African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday, October 18.
The CHAN is the equivalent of the African Cup of Nations; held for the national teams of African sides made up exclusively of home based players.
The local Black Stars have been in training for the past fortnight, determined to make their third appearance at the competition since its inception in 2009.
The game would take place on Sunday in Kumasi, with the second leg to be held in two weeks in Abidjan.
The winner of the tie will qualify alongside 14 others to join host Rwanda for the final tournament scheduled to be held between January 16 and February 7, 2016.
