Editor-in-Chief of the Crusading Guide newspaper Kweku Baako Junior has thrown his support for members of parliament who have threatened to drag Professor Stephen Adei before the disciplinary committee of the House—for leveling corruption allegations against Members of Parliament in Ghana.
Mr. Malik Kweku Baako speaking on Joy FM’s news analysis program ‘NewsFile’ described Prof. Adei’s comment as “outrageous” and “explosive”.
“He has an impeccable records and an excellent academician but the comments were quiet explosive.”
“It’s going to be very difficult to defend such a thing… if he is dragged before parliament, he should be able to present something of evidential value to support what he said.”
“To suggest that they take bribes for their girlfriends is a very outrageous thing to say,” he stated.
Prof. Stephen Adei has raised the anger meter of parliamentarians high by stating with impunity that;
“The other day somebody asked me a question and I was as so shocked. The person asked whether I gave bribe to Parliament for them to pass GIMPA’s law. Not knowing that now if you want Parliament to pass anything else, not only do you bribe the committee, but after they have gotten their share, they ask you where our ‘lap is top’? In other words; you haven’t made provision for our girlfriends. It’s time now in Ghana for us to rise; and it for us to lay the foundations of righteousness in the next generation. Train your children to be servant-leaders wherever they are.”
“…At least 8 in 10 politicians in Ghana are glorified thieves, although almost every need of theirs is met by the state. We have to stop it,” he said.
Members of Parliament have threatened to show him where power lies—but the former GIMPA Boss seems not to show any remorse for his so called “outrageous and explosive” comments.
