The Member of Parliament for Amenfi West in the Western Region, John Gyetua, died Tuesday afternoon after falling ill.

The MP expired at the 37 Military Hospital, believed to have been battling illness for a while now.

His wife told Adom FM that he fell unconscious at home, and was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival at the Hospital.

Gyetua, an NDC MP, was appointed a Minister of State in 2010 by the late President Mills. He is survived by a wife and seven children.
