Aerosmith Issues Ceast And Desist Letter To Donald Trump For Using Their Songs On The Campaign Trail Without Permission

This is an issue of copyright, plain and simple. And even though lead singer Tyler is Republican, the right processes have to be gone through.

Aerosmith has instructed their lawyers to fire off a cease and desist letter to the campaign of Trump, for using the band’s song ‘Dream On’ on the campaign trail without the band’s permission.

Lead singer Steven Tyler, even though he’s a registered Republican, says the use of the song gives ‘a false impression’ they support Trump’s campaign.

Astonishingly, or perhaps not so; this is the third time such a warning is being handed to Trump’s campaign for using a song without the requisite permission.

Neil Young and REM have both had cause to complain for unauthorised use of their songs; not very Presidential.
