Nigeria fiercely fought the Ebola virus when it hit their shores last year, and were successful in swiftly eradicating it; yet now face fears of a regress.

A man who died in Calabar, southern Nigeria, is said to have shown Ebola like symptoms. This led to fears of a return of the dreaded virus, the BBC reports.

Ten people who came into contact with the deceased have been placed in quarantine, including health care attendants who catered to the man before he passed.

“We have sent blood samples for testing and quarantined identified contacts,” said Queeneth Kalu, the University of Calabar Teaching hospital’s chief medical director.

Hopefully that comes back negative.
