Bruno Mars To Produce Semi-Autobiographical Sitcom For NBC

Bruno Mars

Music and TV are having some great intersections these days. Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj recently got commitments to develop shows, and next to join the trend is boyish singer and regular heart melter, Bruno Mars.

Mars is set to produce the as yet unnamed sitcom for the NBC network, with a single camera, musical comedy setup.

Bruno Mars would be working with “Empire” executive producer Brian Grazer and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” writer Prentice Penny, as well as his manager, Brandon Creed.

According to Deadline, “the comedy follows a loud, boisterous, and quarrelsome family from the Bronx and what happens when they take in their wide-eyed, hopelessly optimistic 10 year old nephew.”

NBC has already committed to a pilot for the show.
